The FX AlgoTrader Volume Alert indicator provides a customised alert enabled tick volume indicator which displays period specific tick volume data in a seperate MT4 indicator window. Trader can draw a trendline on the tick volume indicator and then specify a trigger zone which is then automatically drawn around the trendline. When the tick volume reading enters the trigger zone around the trendline an audible alert will be triggered. Tick Volume is an interesting early warning system as high tick volumes can often occur at swing high and swing low points. The tick volume indicator does not produce a valid trading signal in it's own right but it can be used in conjunction with other tools such as the trendline alert or pivot systems to validate potential trades. Using automated alerts on indicators is an extremely useful way to reduce trader screen time and fatigue. It also reduces impulsive trading tendencies and improves trader discipline. |
